Navalia Meeting 2027 Begins to Take Shape in Valencia with an Intensive Institutional and Business Agenda

The organisation meets with Valencia City Council, the Valencia Shipowners' Association and engineering company Caponnetto Hueber to advance preparations for the event, which will take place in September 2027.

The Navalia organisation has begun preparations for the next edition of Navalia Meeting, which will be held in Valencia during the third week of September 2027. Navalia's Director, Javier Arnau, held a series of institutional and business meetings in the city this week to lay the foundations for the event and begin defining its main areas of focus.

The first meeting took place at Valencia City Council, where Arnau was received by Paula Llobet, Councillor for Tourism, Innovation and Investment Attraction. During the meeting, both parties discussed the initial organisational arrangements for an event that will bring together representatives of the national and international maritime and shipbuilding industries at the Port of Valencia.

As announced during the closing ceremony of the tenth edition of Navalia, Valencia was selected as the host city for Navalia Meeting because of its strategic location in the Mediterranean, its strong maritime tradition and the significant industrial, logistics and technology ecosystem developed around its port. Following the meeting, Valencia City Council highlighted the value of hosting an event of this kind as an opportunity to strengthen the city's international positioning in areas such as innovation, sustainability and the blue economy.

The agenda continued with a meeting with the management of the Valencia Shipowners' Association, chaired by Vicente Boluda, during which the organisation began exploring potential synergies and outlining the event's technical programme. The aim is to create a forum for discussion and reflection addressing some of the major challenges facing the maritime and shipbuilding industries, from technological transformation and sustainability to the evolution of international maritime transport.

The visit concluded at the facilities of Caponnetto Hueber, one of Spain's leading companies specialising in naval engineering and design. Recognised as a benchmark in the field of high-performance and competitive sailing, the company gave the Navalia delegation first-hand insight into some of the most innovative projects currently being developed in Valencia, particularly in areas related to advanced design, applied technology and new solutions for the maritime sector.

The 2027 edition will be the third Navalia Meeting, following the previous events held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Cádiz, and will bring the event for the first time to one of the Mediterranean's leading maritime and logistics hubs. Over the course of three days, Valencia will host companies, institutions and professionals from the shipbuilding industry to discuss the future of the sector and create new business opportunities.
